I don't think you'll need much to beat him.
I had a '95 Z28 w/the LT1...if remember correctly it only put out 275hp and did 0 - 60 in 5.7 secs...never did break into the 13's at the track...maybe 14.0...

Many would say that there were some ugly Mustangs produced, while others would say that any Mustang is a good looking Mustang.
I've owned a Camaro and loved it.
It doesn't hold a candle to my Stang, but imo, nothing does.
He's not trying to beat him in a beauty contest, so pointing and laughing is juvenile.
I stand by my comment....tell him it looked great from your winning viewpoint.
