why would you put a six speed in it?
I was saying that because I figure they're probably going to instead of a 5-speed...

no way, i highly doubt they would go with a6 speed...the2010 challenger's are suppose to have a manual as an option, so do you honestly think the would make a 6 speed manual? no way, this isnt europe its america...dodge wont even put 5gears in the charger with the 3.5v6 that badly needs it

True... meh... man that just instills the point we're coming up with... they put a 3.5 v6 in that boat of a car, yet couldn't even give it a 5-speed.... I wont even start on the 2.7....

^^^lol the 2.7 is a joke of an engine, and the only reason i bring that up is to point out that there is no way in hell they would put a 6 speed in the challenger, like honestly no freakin way

Now look...I know the Mustang isn't a lightweight....but come on!

I really like much of what Dodge has to offer, but my main beef and the reason that stopped me from buying a Chrysler 300C was the weight.

Dodge has a good engine, albeit it's not going to hold much boost without needing a rebuild, but they just can't seem to take any weight off of it. Dodge's cars are PIGS!

Beside the SRT-4 [which I loved for it's weight, 28xx] all of Dodge's "performance" cars look and act like they just finished a birthday dinner at the local buffet.

That's why the times aren't what they should be...a lot of Dodge's cars would be faster if they didn't weigh so much. BUT...it's not just Dodge. The new Pontiac G8 GT is going to be over 4000!

Side impact safety regulations are the reason or so I've read. For the excess weight.

Have any of you noticed how high the original Challenger's and Cuda's have been going for at the big auctions. There is a huge following for these cars and a huge interest in the new ones.

I read the challenger is also a one-wheel spinner. Possibly another reason......
