Aluminum 5.4L block in a Mustang GT?
As the subject indicates... will an aluminum 5.4L block have any issues going into an S197? I saw something hinting that in anything other than a Ford GT the starter positioning will be an issue. Does that sound realistic? Any other non-starters for a project like this?

That's because you need the GT500 crossmember.
Heavier beast.
PM PLstang, he's done the conversion and he's a smart cookie.
I believe there are more parts to swap.

Are you talking the block itself. I believe that the the block will mount the same, it's the accessories that might be moved around via mounts.
So if you are talking a 5.4L Ford GT engine removed from a Ford GT then couldn't tell ya...
But a 5.4L GT500 engine removed froma GT500 will with like Pascal said, the GT500 crossmember.

Yes Boozshey - just the block and built up from there, not a Ford GT crate engine. I just haven't been able to find if the aluminum block (M-6010-GT) is simply the aluminum brother to the cast iron 5.4L block (M-6010-M54)
