Tire pressure/Gas mileage

RE: Tire pressure/Gas mileage
Doesn't the tire pressure monitoring system in the 08 make it pretty much fool proof? I am yet to have to put air in my tires so I don't really know what the parrameters are for when the sensor kicks on though. I would think at +/-5 or 10 you would get some kind of indicator of over/under pressure.

Take a wide piece of white chalk and draw a line across the tire from the inside to the outside edge. Drive normaly down the raod for about a block and check. If the line is visible on the edges only, you have too much pressure and if you see the line in the middle only the you have too little. If there is no line then you either drove too far and it all wore off or you have just about the right amount of air.
