Wow, surprised to see so many problems. My O/R H went in just fine. No leaks or alignment issues at all. I do remember the bungs were a bit rough as far as the threads, but I didn't have the problems that you guys are experiencing.

As far as the bungs, you can go to an exhaust shop and have them weld in some new ones on the cheap. For $40, I say take it.

I am going to at least take a look at it in person tonight. I'm bringing the money with me just in case I decide to buy it. Unfortunately I'm going camping this weekend so I'll have to wait at least another week and a half before I try installing it.

On the H pipe deal, you have to weld them together before installation.
This is BS. I thought, when you get an H pipe, you get an H pipe, not two halves.
And then you have to cut some tubing so everything line up.
The OEM H tubes are 2 1/2 apart, but the Pypes pieces have too much material and would be spaced at twice as much[&:].
Anyway, check those pics, you'll understand what I'n trying to say

This is what I removed from the horizontal part of the H...
After that everything lined up.

I picked up the X-pipe tonight. The threads on 2 of the 3 bungs are messed up. The one upstream sensor only has about half of the threads intact, and the downstream sensor on the passenger is about the same. Next week I'll take it to a muffler shop or something and see if they can weld on some new bungs.

The guy told me that the sensors will screw on but that they will take alot of effort. I'd rather play it safe and just have the bungs replaced.

Do I need a new tune for the O/R pipe? I know I need to turn the downstream O2 sensors off which I can do myself with my tuner, but do I need to get a revised tune from Bamachips because of the increased exhaust flow?

You will need a tune to turn off the O2 bs, however I see you have a Bama Race Tune, and CMDP plates. I have a Brenspeed tune and the CMDP plates and Brenspeed tune already had the sensor's fixed so I had no issues. It don't cost you any money to call up Bama and see if he has them off, I'll be he does, so you will be Good To Go.

Pascal,

I have a quick question and I mean no disrespect, is your car a 6 cyl or an 8?

Reason I ask is if it is a 6 they may have mistakenly sent you the 8 H pipe and that would be wider, than the correct one for the 6.

Just a thought is all.
