Use plenty of a water / light dishwashing soap solution in a spray bottle.

yomofoitzjay, I'd suggest a tailors tape measure. They're soft and flexible, and less likely to scratch the surface. Then just figure the center based on panel width.

My suggestion would be to take it to a shop and have it done, but then again I didn't trust myself to do a good enough job. Good luck though! The matte black will look great.

+1 on the tailor's measuring tape. I installed stripes a few weeks ago. It was my first time so I'm certainly no expert. As others have said, take yourtime. The only thingI would have done different is to remove the backing paper from the stripe before wrapping around a tight conner, like the rear edge of the spoiler. The backingpaper was stiff and made wrapping difficult.I ended up with a few small bubbles in that area but the sun is slowly making them go away.Allow plenty oftime, keep everything clean, be meticulous, and post pictures when it's done. Good luck!

I hope you have a covered area or a garage is better. If these are stripes from BSM, then you'll need a helper to peel them off the backing paper.
Do not get the backing paper wet or pieces of paper will stick to the stripes and ruin your day.
Clean each panel right before you lay the stripes down. It doesn't take long for **** to land on your car and it will stick out like a soar thumb underneath the stripe.
You should be using some type of cleaner that will remove all wax residue. i used naptha from the hardware store, it's in the paint department.
A water/dish soap/ alcohol solution in a spray bottle is what I used to put the stripes on. Spray the whole panel good, lay down stripe, then spray top of stripe and squeegy out air bubbles. Keep spraying the top, you don't want to run the squeegy over dry vinyl.
If the stripes are designed for a 2 inch gap, then use 2 inch wide tape as a guide. I tried using 1 1/2 inch tape, it didn't work well for me.
If you get in trouble, don't be afraid to pull the stripe back up and start over.
