Flat black on black GT and do you wax?

Flat black on black GT and do you wax?
I have a blackMustang GT w/ silver stripes but the stripes have what look like rust spots so the dealer is going to replace them with flat matte black stripes and was told that I can't wax them because the will no longer be flat, what do you all do that have flat or matte stripes?

Mine are painted. If wax even gets NEAR them I have to clean it off with prep solvent. Wax WILL make them shiny, there is nothing you can do about it. They are THE biggest pain in the ***. Black cars are already hard enough to detail, this makes it all but impossible...

I thought I wanted my problem too, until I had it.. I'm thinking maybe next winter these stripes will come off and I'll do some kind of ghost stripes in the clear, maybe like a midnight blue color-change-to purple or something.. I don't know. All I know is I'd like to be able to wax the whole car without losing my mind. LOL
