People with 4.10s chime in!!!!
I'm about to get 4.10s for my birthday and i'd like to know what the difference is between the M-4210-A and M-4210-B install kits, and which one i need. i can read their descriptions, but i don't know what the parts are or what they do. My car is an 05 manual with 38k miles. Howarmat already told me once that the A kit would be sufficient, but i'd like to know a few more details and why i wouldn't need the B kit. what kits did ya'll go with??
Also, which weight of Royal Purple should i get and how many quarts??? Thank ya'll so much!!!!

Take a look at this link, maybe it will explain the difference a bit better....

I'm certainly no expert on rear gear installs, but my attitude was, why take a chance for a difference of 40 or so bucks?? Big investment to screw up for that amount....
I bought 3 quarts of RP 75/140
Hope it helps.
Mike
PS. Don't forget friction modifier.....

Harraid, it might be easier to just ask your mechanic what (if anything) they need you to bring. I told mine I was bringing my own gears, they said they had plenty of everything else on hand. (shims, bolts, fluid, friction modifier, etc.). Your particular mechanic should make it clear to you. Good luck!
