So I just dodged major bullets at work. I work at a golf course 5 days a week 45 hours a week and we get hit with storms every now and then. Today I watched as golf ball sized hail bounced off the ground outside the pro shop for about 5 minutes and just couldn't imagine the damage my car was enduring. I am at home now, my car has no dents, but I am now in search of a quality cover for it.

I don't know if such a cover exists out there but if it does I'd like to know where I can buy it. Price does not matter, I'd pay anything to watch such hail fall and know that my car is safe. It's no GT, but it is my first car and I paid hard earned money for it and the last thing I need is for it to be riddled with dents. Must fit in the trunk.

I had the same thing happen to me. I had my car sitting in my driveway and totally forgot it was there. It started to hail hard as hell, almost golf ball and I realized my car was sitting there.I ran into the garage opened the door and could only watch it get pelted by hail. I coulded go out and get it, the hail was too big. I thank god nothing happened to my car, as my wifes van got dents all over its hood. I was lucky

but anyway, I forgot to say that I do not think that a car cover will protect it from hail.. unless you get one of those bubbles...

You might have to get two covers. One the thickest indoor cover that is form fitting[covercraft,coverking] and one cheapo from Pep Boys , Wallmart etc. to cover it to make it waterproof.I had the thickest cover I could find on a Merc. my wife had because we had to park under a tall tree that shed its branches in storms the cover worked great but when it got wet it weighed a ton and took a couple of days to dry.So the cheapo waterproof cover over it solved the problem.
