Default What do our cars need to see 350 to the wheels??

I'm trying to keep the car N/A and just do a little bit. I don't want the power for street racing just so I have more power when I want to play around on the road by myself and when I take it to the track.

That being said, I don't want to spend $5k on f/i...just want about 350 to the wheels.

Mods right now:
C&L intake
Bamachips 93 tune
Bassani catted x pipe
Bassani Race axle backs [hoping to switch to SLP lm's soon, but it won't affect performance]
4.10 gears

How close to 350 whp will cams and LT headers get me?

What else would I need after those 2 things to acheive 350?

Thanks.

NOS .... you gonna need almost 400 at the crank to get 350 at the wheels .. not gonna happen with bolt ons ...

i would say LT's, cam, CMCV, UDP
that would get you close maybe around 340-350

with just CAI and exhaust and canned tune i was at 301rwhp/305 tq
i see others w/ custom tune making 315-320rwhp
add cams and you should be pretty close

i disagree with dmhines...considering the terminology of bolt-ons...i am currently putting down 330whp with bolt-ons: intake, tune, gears, U/D pulleys, CMCV, full exhaust...i have been told that a 1-piece driveshaft and electric water pump will kick me over 350whp...

you can also opt to get heads and cams...that should give you around 50-65whp which would kick you over the 350 mark

but like dmhines said, you can go the easy way and get a 100shot and there you go

With your current mods, you are somewhere around 300 WHP. Now, Sutton HP tested the new Ford Hot Rod Cams, and got over 50WHP with just cams. So, add your mods, + LT's, I'd say at least 350-360.

Phil,

The car is looking good man. How is she running? Does she feel faster then the Skittle?

Cams and maybe port and Polish the heads and you should be over the 350 mark.

However, Spaying it would be cheaper and provide the HP your looking for. A 75 shot would be all you really need for that mark.

Do you have a source or some proof for this? I'd love to see it...

Correction, 50HP with stock intake but with M-6049-P CNC Heads @ 6500 RPM. 30 HP W/O CNC Heads. I read that wrong, my deepest apologies.
