Default Opinions on CDC chin spoilers

Hello everyone,

I am going to purchase a cdc classic chin spoiler, and want to get it pre-painted. I know there are a few websites that do this, anyone have any positives or negatives on either of these companys? Or maybe a different one even? How was the paint match?

Just curious if anyone has experience with these or if having it painted local is my best option.

thanks

Dave

Just bought mine a couple weeks ago from Atlanta Auto. Perfect paint, easy to install. I recommend them. I also bought my shelby-style spoiler from them.

The price seems a little high. I had mine painted by a local body shop when I had the antenna hole filled in. I removed the mirrors and preeped them and I provided the chin spoiler off the car. They charged $125 to weld the antenna hole, paint the fender, chin spoiler and the mirrors. I installed the chin spoiler and the mirrors myself to keep the cost down a little bit. I think you might be able to get a better price from a local body shop.

yeah, it may be a little cheaper, but it sure is nice to be able to open the box and install it right away! Time is money!

Yes, that is absolutely true. Unless you want other stuff painted at the same time, it would be easier to just order it painted. It took the body shop 10 days to get around to painting all of my parts and buffing them out. The nice thing about it was that after it was all said and done, the car lokked better then if I had just intalled the Chin spoiler. I personnaly hated the way the antenna looke and just wanted to get it shaved and painted. Getting the spoiler and mirrors done at the same time was a freebie.

My spoiler was painted by bodyshop, but I did get my headlight splitters pre-painted from LM!

I don't mean to hijack the thread...but was wondering how many of you drive your cars daily? How does the chin spoiler hold up with chipping?

That's the only thing stopping me. And yes, I know about the 3M coating...but paying to have that installed on top of the already high price seems like it's a lot of money to invest in a piece of plastic.

Thoughts?
