Well, saw the State Farm agent this morning. Did a pretty good check of the car. He estimated the repair costs at $1920 - minus $250 dedectable = $1670 check to me. Here is the rundown:

1. Remove/Refinish front bumper cover (pretty scrapped up)
2. R Headlamp assembly (new) (broken bottom clips)
3. R Fender panel (new)
4. R Fender Liner (new) (turn signal made a hole in it)
5. Repair front body radiator support
6. Front end alignment (don't think thats needed)
7. Refinish R front door shell (little chip on the edge)

I am thinking I can do without #6,7 and see if the dealership will work with me to put that $$ toward a Roush or Cal Special bumper. What do you think? Anybody else try something like this?

Thanks,

Scott

yes I would do that, if you feel real handy you could order the parts your self and bring them to the dealer and have them paint them and you put hem on.

I'm not sure, but I believe if the dealership is cool, you can probably keep the rest of the money, which would be cool. Wow, sounds like they need to do alot of work on your car, hope it works out, keep us posted on how it looks.

I should have my car on Tuesday and will let you know how that goes as well.

Good luck

I had some A**Clown flip his a cigar over the back of his car while driving his convertible SEBRING and it landed *PLOP* right on my windshield and rolled down onto the plastic piece between my hood and windshield. I got out of my car and calmly removed it before it did any damage. We had just finished merging into the turning lane when this happened.....and he just tossed it with his right hand. .....straight over his trunk and onto me.....not a care in the world. As we turned into the shopping complex (strip-Mall) I was still right behind him and I parked next to him....... He entered a Circuit City.....I entered the PetCO right next door.......(smiling)

I hope he smells the dozen goldfish I bought.........and slipped into the vents of his convertible Sebring. He probably needs the top down on his car a LOT more during these warm summer days.

"it's not vandalism!......he gave me a cigar.......so I thanked him with goldfish!.......and really? who doesn't like goldfish?"

Now that's hilarious, good come back. Wish I could do the same to the a**hole who hit me.

i have hit two parked cars. and both times i left a note and paid for my damages. one of the times i called the police but the cop came yelling at me saying im gonna get a hit and run until it finally sunk into his head that i am the one that called the police, and i got no apology. that would be milltown NJ police.

Its hard to believe the audacity of some people. I got in a hit and run in dallas a few months back and it was amazing to me how willing that guy was to just haul butt after nearly killing me. Fortunatly that was in my work car. I hope the cameras found somthing for you.
