Educate me on exhuast...
I'm by no means a car guy, but I've learned tons since buying my Mustang in January. I'm looking to convert over to dual exhaust, but need some help.
I'm thinking about going with dual JBA's, or dual SLP Loudmouths. Both sound good on Youtube. What all will I need to buy to go with the setup? If I have the mufflers and the tips, will the muffler shop be able to get everything elsesetup for me?
Keep in mind, I've got a V6, if that matters.

RE: Educate me on exhuast...
do you want sound or performance?
a dual exhaust with an H pipe is going to make your car sound better
a dual exhaust with an X pipe is going to make your car perform better
i'm not sure if either of those companies have a full set up from cats back. right now our V6's have duals that come together after the cats (that's called a Y Pipe) and some people have a reverse-Y pipe where it splits the one back into 2. i'm not sure about the pros and cons for this set up. but if you go to a good muffler shop or better an exhaust shop, they can do all the work pretty quickly. most mufflers come with the tips, so that won't be needed.
a lot of other things can change the way your exhaust note sounds. when i put my CAI and tune on my car, my car gets deeper (even with my stock muffler being back on)
hope this helps

my friend had both the slps and jba's on his car and i think slps were to loud and sounded kinda bad, however the jba's sound nice and quiet but really nice...i would go with the jba's and an h pipe...btw this was a v6 too.

Thanks guys. I've been looking around for exhaust for awhile, but haven't picked out anything. One of the local exhaust shops wants to install dual magnaflow's.

I understand Ihave been looking at getting a true dual system and this is the one I have decided to get it comes with every thing you need. All you have to do is install. Just something for you to consider.

I have not heard SLPs in person. I don't I would want them because I often leave for work at 5 or 6 A:M and I don't want to disturb my neighbors. I have JBAs and the sound awesome. In the cabin they are slightly quiet, but when you hit the go peddle, the come to life. Here is a vid I took while driving. I was on the HWY, so there is a lot of background noise:
