Some of the Shaker radios have bluetooth capabilities. There must be a way to bluetooth connect your phone to the radios with only the phone logo on it (buying the add on bluetooth module of course). Has NO ONE on these forums noticed there are twin microphones for handsfree mounted on the overhead map lights housing????

I also only have the phone icon (no mute) on the button and my manual states that pushing this button only results in "no phone" showing on the display.

no......cause those arent microphones.........those are motion sensors for the anti theft system

the phone button (Diff than Mute phone)on the newer msutangs, gts, and gt500 is for future use in the stangs. (IE sync) Upgrades. I got this from the owner of the dealership I know: He is part of the development panel with ford. yes, that means future stangs will possibly have sync feature. When this happens he has explained to me that other sync features will be avail as well as you will be able to buy the upgrade througe dealer and have it installed. this is one of the reasons he advised me agains going with the NAV system and getting the shaker 1000. he belives we should see this feature early 09.

You gots a bluetooth capable phone?
Maybe get your dealer tech and your cellular service provider
on the horn in a three-way and bump heads until the phone
button works like you paid for it to work.
We all dont have 08s is whay no one knows what you are talking about.
Maybe get in with it and receive a call without answering via the phone.
Then push the phone button on the skipper and see if it awswers thru t
he skipper system?

I've got an 08 and the button on my Shaker 1000 headunit only has a picture of a phone, it does not say mute. When I hit it my display does not change. The button mutes the radio and pauses a CD. I do know Ford sellsthe Mobile-easebluetooth unit for our cars but it has separate controls and does not use the headunit's phone button. It's the button I hit if the music is blaring andI get a phone call on my bluetooth headset.
