lol, well... you could buy forged pistons, aluminum rods, high performance heads and cam. OR! You could just buy one that's already made,

just make sure you get the one with the 10.0:1 compression ratio because you'll be running NA.

I'm the 13.81 N/A bolt on 4.0, on a 89 tune.

everything in the sig plus Line lock, BMR a arms n k member, 3000 stall convertor
I installed a intercooled vortech last week, so I have changed direction.

EDIT: I fixed your link so the pic shows up- 28HopUp

I don't want to ignite a v6 versus v8 argument, although i do feel it's brewing... Anyway, my point is this. If you have the funds to modify a 6-er to run like a stock V8, I would ask why you don't save yourself the aggravation and just buy an 8.
OK, there is an amount of Kudos in running with the V8's [in a 6-er] but that's very short lived stardom.

True. Let's hope this does not get out of hand.

So, you have skinnies, an 89 tune, and full-bolt ons. Are you 5A or 5M? Also, have you run the car with the new Vortech Setup?

Rocket boosters. 'Nuff said. [8D]
But seriously, I'd probably want to go FI. Run too much nitrous and Kaplooie! It'd probablysave you a bunch of headaches in the long run.

I know people are going to get offended by the following comment, but this is my opinion and I wish to express it. Take it for what its worth!

I will never understand why there is anything less than a V8 in a Mustang. If you want a muscle car.... then buy a muscle car! In my opinion the Mustang is an American icon and is one of the few remaining muscle cars out there. If people are that concerned with fuel and insurance costs then maybe a muscle car is not right for you, try a sport compact or something.

Then you have the group of folks who SAID they bought it for fuel economy but then end up dropping fat wads of cash to make it keep up with a stock GT only to find out that the V8 gets better mileage after all those mods! Should have saved the money and bought the GT

There is one owner who did a set of PH regrind cams makingclose to stock GT power. ETs weren't in the 12s but he was still running 3.31s. At this point he is going a different direction.I think with a stroked 4.0 with cams and all boltons it is possible but will be very expensive. I thought at this point in the game just get a V8 comments would die off??? Oh well. Kudos to those 4.0 FI owners that have been beating V8s just because it was cool and different. I love Mustangs no matter what size the engine is.
