I just have to say what a nice HID kit that retro solutions has put out. For starters i received the kit in like two days(super fast shipping, which is great) and the install was a breeze. Hood up to hood down time was approx. 45 minutes. I ordered the 8000k 55w kit and man i am blown away at the ease of install and the overall look of the finished product. I would recommend this product to anyone. I am also lookin to get a kit for my 08 Avalanche because i liked this one for my 08 GT so much. I will post pics when i get a chance.... Thanx a bunch Todd

That is correct, but yours will probably also need the bulbs coated to prevent glare as I do not think your lamps came with the little covers over the bulbs to do the same.

Not at all. First, the actual heat produced by the HID bulbs, even our 55w bulbs, is still less than the standard halogen bulbs that come with your vehicle. So there is less chance your headlamps could melt. The second is our ballasts use <6.5 amps at start-up for the 35w version, and <7.5 amps for the 55w. That is the lowest you find in the market, typically you will find ballasts that eat up close to 15-17 amps at initial start-up, those are the cheap ones you would need to worry about damaging your wiring. Our ballasts are 100% safe for the stock wiring at these low amps, but even so the mustang require use of our bixenon kits to maintain low and high beam functions. To do this a relay harness, which is dedicated plug and play wiring for the kit, is required to operate the high beam function and the ballasts are conveintly tied into this as well. SO, not that you need to use it because of power draw, but the harness is there anyway to remove all demand from the stock wiring, keep everything simple, make it lookclean, and make it easy to install.

i got the 55 watt hids in my 08 headlights with the bulb coating. the coating made all the difference in the world. now, the lights are back to the "stock" pattern and i dont get flashed hardly. the high beam feature works flawlessly. these are by far the best hids out there at the moment. the customer service was also great! thanks Todd.
Thanks,
Dustin

Ok i'm about sold but I have a question. I would like to do the fogs too, what's the numbers for that? And before I had upgraded my bulbs just bc its a cheap way to find what I liked, and some 6000k's I had actually melted the housing where the bulb comes through in the foglights, causing those brackets around the fogs to fall out, im assuming heat caused this. Would something like this be covered under your warranty if it happened? If so, i'm ordering around the 1st
