Ask Lance. Something about those hard seats cutting off blood flow to "parts".
Sweet bike. I agree, get a different seat. Those seats do cause "damage", but not cancer. Lance's cancer had nothing to do with his bike seat (as far as medical knowledge says, anyway). The old style, hard seats, though, can cut off circulation to them "parts"by pinching a blood vessel. A really important one. If you ride a lot, the pinched blood vessel will start to thicken with scar tissue...and then when you need a lot of blood flow to said parts, it won't work. Trust me, you want those parts to work, no matter who's team you play for.

The newer seat styles have a hole or a depression near the doodad area, to avoid pinching the blood vessel.

This was well covered in Bicycle World or Men's Health mags a few years ago.

What this has to do with mustangs, I don't know...but I guess the original topic was saving fuel.......

I've been using the Fuel Economy guage in the information center. It's kind of fun trying to get a lot of bars.

i drive my stang like a bat outa hell, but i too have realized that theres a time to just cruise at about 5-15 over the limit instead of 50 over...but my reasons not so much gas as it is the fact that if i get more tickets bye bye liscense. here in dallas the limit on the tollroad (highway) is 55-65. when i do 65 in teh 55s i get passed by soccer moms and trucks goin atleast 80, but of course they never get pulled over, its when i do 80 when i get ****ed. freakin douchenozzel dallas cops and staties. im gettin 21.3 mpg right now cuz im drivin like a granny (new clutch has 300 more miles on the break in) and thats about 50/50 city/highway so illt ake it. when i really beat the car i get 16ish and right now i cant afford that, puttin over 20 bucks in each day, and put in 50 the other night and it wasnt even 3/4 a tank.[&:]

Inflate the rear tires so the the car is essentially running downhill all the time, can potentially increase fuel consumption by at least 50%

1. Keep your tires properly inflated, check them every week or so.

2. As many others have stated, don't speed too much. In other cars I have had that I have tested many times, I can get 10% or slightly more than that better fuel economy by driving 65mph on the highway instead of 72-73mph.

A 2 1/2 y/o thread revisited...

If fuel is REALLY an issue, buy a Schwinn.
