157db-

What is that picture? Sorry, but I can't tell what that is.

And I looked at it again tonight, and it is definitely not bolted down. Sigh.

The dealership that installed my GT scoop almost committed that same mistake of putting on a Roush scoop instead. Thankfully, I requested to see the scoop before they installed it. If I hadn't, I would have been in the same predicament. Firstly, your scoop is NOT secured unless it is drilled in. The Roush scoop comes with screws for a reason, and is not intended to be held only by 3M tape. Secondly, while I think the Roush scoop is nice, I prefer the GT scoop. It flows better with the curves of the hood and the faux grill matches the stock grill. If you get the Roush louvers and spoiler though, the Roush scoop will look better overall.

Its a pic of the underside and the forum cropped the **** out of it.
I cant delete or modify it so here is another showing the lack of 3M
taping surfaces. Did they at least use the 3M 4298 adhesive promoter
as Roush suggests?

Thanks 157. I can see why a tape job wouldn't hold that down very good. I can also see the spots where it's supposed to bolt up. To be honest, I think I only looked at the spot in the factory hood blanket where the GT scoop would go. It looks like the Roush's bolt holes would be much wider, and I didn't look there (under the hood blanket). I'll take a peek tonight...
