Default Check engine light for low tire pressure??

Just as it says, does the check engine light come on for low tire pressure?? I am at work right now, went for a cruise during lunch, got back close to work and the light came on. I will find out later with my tuner when I get home to see what is up, but if anyone has any input on this...that would kill my curiousity. Thanks in advance!

Now I am curious. On the display it says low tire pressure and the cel is on. Guess I will find out when I get home. Hope its not another trip to the stealership

Got home, checked with the tuner and found no codes. The cel did turn off once, but returned on the way home. Anyone else have any idea before I go to the stealership?? Maybe the tune??

Maybe try a better scan tool. If you CEL came on, there is probably a DTC stored in memory. Your tuner may only read the codes when the light is actually on.

You DID check your tire pressure, right?

So your CEL is on, but it's not throwing any codes?

Does the actual Check Engine light come on, or does it just say on your display "Tire Pressure Monitor Fault"?

I doubt it's your tire pressure because there is a separate light for that. As 2L8IWIN said, "your display will tell you Tire Pressure Monitor Fault". Sounds like a trip to the stealership is in your near future.

I started getting the Tire Pressure Monitor Fault when I changed my wheels since I no longer have the sensors in the Foose wheels. If you still have stock wheels and are getting this message, it may be a bad sensor.
