the search engine isn't working, but i want to paint or remove the gt side emblems on my mustang....i understand removing will leave 2 holes, is this true? i have seen one person with the painted side embelms, but i can't find the link here...please advise

Yes it will leave 2 holes. The emblem is attached with 3M double sided tape which you can get at any Auto Zone.

Painted mine black early spring.
And you'll need something to cover the 2 alignment holes of you leave off.

I painted mine flat black.



I used a lamented card similar to a credit card and just pried them off. Sanded them with 220, cleaned them and then hit them with a few coats of paint.

Yes the car is filthy.

I think I want to hit mine with a satin clear coat, and paint the black part torch red on my '07.

is the emblem held on by 3m tape, if so how did you reapply it after painting

just get some red3m double sided tape, cut a few small pieces and stick em to the back.
