Default Hood shaking on freeway

I was on the freeway and was in 4th at about 65 then shifted hard into 3rd and my hood starts shaking all over the f'n place! I immediately slowed down and checked to make sure it was closed properly and it was. I got back on the freeway but didn't notice any more rattling. I remember seeing some posts about this in the past but can't seem to find them now. Anyone figure out why this happens or a solution?

Mine starts shaking, but not till I reach 120 mph. I would look to maybe adjust the bumpers to make sure they are contacting the hood. Not too much. Check hood to fender height for reference.

My hood used to shake violently at highway speeds. Unlike the minor vibrations some others were talking about, this was definitely a big deal. Trial and error setting/resetting the twist rubber hood stops took care of most (90%) of the shake, thick weatherstripping across the front top edge of the headlights (hidden when the hood is closed) took care of the rest.

What sleeper2 said.

Try turning the rubber bumpers about 1/4 - 1/2 turn UP at a time. Mine isn't as bad but will still shake some over 100 depending on wind conditions. I may try the weather stripping next.

Say here, the S197 does that. Adjust the rubber bumpers up about 1/4 to 1/2 turn. It does help. Also make sure the hood is closed good. Drop it from about a foot or more. I have had my car up over 130mph for a good amount if time. Hood has NEVER opened. Just FYI.

My hood would raise about an inch or so on the freeway freaked me out first time, still makes me a little nervous. I was actually missing a rubber bumper on the passenger fender.

It was like an 8 dollar part at the dealer. Installed it, theres still a little shake, but the bumper helped a ton.
Im going to try to adjust the other bumpers in the front a bit. Great suggestion.

Do you guys drop your hoods? Mine doesn't close unless I drop it from 4+ feet. No shaking here, though.
