Just got the June issue of C&D, there's a two page article (page 148, 149) of the new blown S281. 400 horses. Comments are mixed, they have some nice things to say about the overall feel and handling, but compain about the numbers (0-60 in 4.6, 1/4 in 13.2@110). They did admit to having traction problems at launch though.

There's also a nice 5 page article of the GT vert starting on page 48. Great pictures of a red/ black/ red model.

yea.. thats sad.. a super charge saleen only doing 13.2 when you can get a gt and throw a procharger on and get proven 11.6 ... hummmm..

The mph tells all. At that mph, it should be running mid-high 12's, easy with a good driver. The guy testing it doesn't know how to launch it right.

damn right birdieman4! 110mph are very solid 12.5's considering the weight,and gearing those magazine dipsh!t's are lazy they want the car to do all the work for them!..hell they probably bit@h when it's a manual not an auto.??

Here's what they said about launching:

"A lot counts on getting a decent launch at the drag strip, and we'll admit our testing facilities have been badly ravaged by winter storms, making grip hard to come by."

They also state this:

"We've heard of Saleen development drivers turning 12.7 seconds at 114 mph compared with our 13.2 seconds at 110 mph, and we'll ponder that possibility until we get another example to test at a grippier venue."

what size tires were they running? 20" low profiles? That would be tough to hook up with a blower.

Give me 2 passes in that car in the same test conditions and it would be in the 12's.

Any body know what the non s/c versions are supposed to run? I know a couple of people getting times like that in gt's with just filters and exhaust.

I was talking to a guy from SoCal Perf. Tune and he saw the new Kenne Bell for our Mustang Gt's.. He said they were putting out 462 horses...He also said they got it up to 500 but the didn't want to blow it up... I forgot what PSI they had...
