RE: H or X pipe with shorties
ORIGINAL: Project Renegade
is the factory h pipe and JBAs hpipe any different? im thinking of going with a full blown JBA setup but cant seem to find their H pipe, plus with their sound clips i cant tell which one is which. and if the factory one is ok then would a JBA shorty and Axle back be ok?

RE: H or X pipe with shorties
Sound and power, turbulance, backpressure and scavaging.
Here is the truth when it comes to power, with your vehicle.
A H-Pipe has a nice deepdrone, and less rasp.
A X-Pipe has the ability to MERGE the exhaust together and exit the exhaust faster .
The X-Pipe on a complete exhaust sytem, will keep the power and torque TOGETHER from idle to redline, as where the H, falls short of about 2-3k rpm.
The H-Pipe has been around for years and really is outdated. Go with X, have all joints welded, not clamped.
Take it from someone who has been through many setups and dyno's[:'(]
