What mph does the sound occur?

My car in fifth gear WOT the e brake vibrates. I wedged some foam between the brake and console and temporarily fixed the sound.

Get an MGW with a Hurst black aluminum pistol grip like I have and you can keep your "Hurst Equipped" badges. [8D] Seriously, I had a Hurst and the handle will get loose. Pull up your shift boot and rock the handle left/right. the two screws that hold it to the shifter can get loose because Hurst doesn't supply you with lock washers.

And the guy I sold my Hurst to complained of "rattle". shoddy construction IMO.

Bad boy Hurst pistol up top, QUALITY MGW down below. The Hurst pistol is the best shift handle I've EVER used!

I had a rattle coming from the e brake handle. I removed the plastic housing around the handle then split a piece of heat shrink tubing and wrapped it around the rod inside the handle. I then used zip ties to secure the tubing, no more e brake rattle.

The TSB in question recommends cutting the hangers off of the trans support, of you could cut the rods on the h-pipe. Supposedly the hangers are there for assembly only.
