Actually the mustang Gt costs about 5k a year over an economy car to run, and a v6 costs about 2k a year. that did not pay for the mpg you lost.

How do you come up with this?
I avg. 24.5 mpg and drive about 100 miles a day, 5 days a week. That is roughly 4 gallons a day or 20 gallons a week, but lets round up to 25 gal a week for arguments sake. That's 100 gals a month, 1200 gals a year. 1200 gallons @ $4 per adds up to $4800.
So if I got an economy car, such as a VW Jetta, I would miraculously get free gas and a $200 check from Volkswagen?
It's people like you that stir ignorant people up into hysteria over a couple of mpg's and cause the automotive industry to crash.
Go plant a tree instead of scaring everyone.

I have to disagree. USAA wanted to charge me 300 a MONTH for full coverage.
Geico? 108

I read several years ago Geico buys Radar/Laser guns and gives them to police departments free. Why? because more tickets mean higher insurance premiums. I wouldn't buy insurance from Geico no matter how cheap it was.

I fell out of my chair laughing when I read this So I guess Allstate buys them the patrol cars to put the radars in? Nationwide pays the gas and USAA takes care of the maintenance. So where the hell do my tax dollars go? Doghnuts?

I am ok with the fact that I have a v6 right now, I'm only 17 and im working really hard for it, and it gives me something to look forward to when I get older and want to upgrade, plus insurance and gas are bad as it is. And I just got a ticket last night for exhibition of acceleration so that is gonna screw me over pretty bad...

But still Legion5's is exaggerating a bit.

Not to rub it in...but USAA also gives us a big hunk back every year as long as their expected claims were low. So..my yearly auto is about $840 annually now for both cars (forgot about the motorcycle too). I will get a check for $120-150 at the end of the year (generally). We did not get one for 2001 (9/11) and 2005 (Katrina). Every other year we get a refund.
So I average about $700 annual for full coverage on both cars and the bike.
The company is really hard to beat.
