LOL cover the front end in painter's tape

I'd get a bra if it came down to that.

haha, yah bugs are a big pia this time of year. Usually not as bad on the interstate though. I dont consider bugs dirt. With my car and all dark colored cars after a rain its hideous looking from all the dirty water off the road.

I'm going from SoCal to the Nevada border on Saturday. I can't wait! The first road trip I took was almost 3 years ago and it was great. I remember thinking how impressed I was with this car.

You're going to have a great ride.

Only complain is the a/c not cold enough, given 90 degrees out.
Funny you would say that about the A/C. I've had over a dozen differentvehicles and the S197's air conditioner is one of the BEST! This thing will blow you out of the car, and we've had record heat this year in central texas (25 days of +100 degrees in the month of June).

And the little reciprocating vents were pure genius on Ford's part. I can even blow the back seat passengers out now...

Had a heck of a time cleaning all the bugs off of the front end, though, once the trip was over.
I usually put an extra layer of paste wax on the bug-and-tar-vulnerable surfaces, and don't wipe it off.

Just made two of them, ~ 5000 apiece round trip. Texas to California and back going the scenic route through Vegas adn the Grand Canyon and then to Wyoming and back, goign the scenic route through the mountains.

America's highways, if you go through the right places are AMAZING. http://www.byways.org/ See if you can play your trip around some of those.

I had teh rides of my life giong through the ones in Wyoming and Utah. Was GORGEOUS. Just like those "professional driver, closed course" commercials. It is definitely an experience to share with your stang.

Did a 1800 mile road trip from NJ to IL and back. I make this trip at least once a year and this was the first time in the stang. All I can say is you are going to enjoy it. My advice use the cruise control or you will be doing 80-90 MPH without realizing it.
