yea I'm serious guys I try to screw the new antenna but none the screw fit in the hole. My *** might be dumb but I ain't a dumbass
I used a pair of plyers to remove the stock antenna , then just screwed the new one in by hand not overtightening it for easy removal incase I ever needed to . i think I only used one screw they gave me and didnt use the black thing at all.
You guys are hard man..... seriously, don't force it. If it won't just screw in, there is most likely a problem with the threads and it'll ruin your base.
I got a 19" "shorty" antenna for my wife's SUV, from Moss Mustang. It came with three adapters (one of which actually fit!) and a short piece of plastic hose that fit over the new antenna's thick bottom end. Protected the antenna very nicely. Better than a shop rag, for certain.
