the pros of the mustang is that it will have less milage, that doesnt mean less problems. if it was up to me and i didnt need the back seat i would get the corvette and get an extended aftermarket warranty.

ahh, conor hit the nail on the head... the vette is more expensive to own in general. I sold my '00 hardtop and bought a '07 sgt, because the cost of modding the vette sucked (and I MUST mod my cars - it's an affliction), and of course, you bring ittoshops to have any basicwork done and as soon they here "vette", they jack the price up to ridiculous amounts. [:@]
not so with the mustang! I'm loving every second of modding this thing (parts are sooo cheap)!
of course, with my affliction, I'll soon be eating vettes for brunch.
that said, the vette was a superior vehicle inanumber ofways (especially with mods). you'll have to drive both to understand that part of the equation. trust me, once you drive them, you'll understand.
Iwill eventually own a c6, but not until I can afford to have it parked in the garage next to the sgt, because the stang's a keeper.

you must don't need a back seat if you ar even comaping these two. I personally would go with the stang. especially if this is a dd. To me the C5 has grew old in apperance. i think a S197 would get more looks than a C5(unless it's yellow). Without knowing what cars you are looking into or price range it's hard to say but within 100 miles of Atl, Ga C5's are going for $20k-$25Kwith 50k-100k miles. While S197 GT's going for $20K-$25k have 0k-40k miles. like this sweat ride I test drove with a friend last week, he should be getting it by monday. click here

thanks for all the input so far. yes this will be a daily driver, about 12 miles round trip commute to work. back seats are irrelevant dont need them.
the 06 GT is selling at 18,900 and the vettes ive seen are going between 18-22.
