I don't want anything too 'in your face' like FASSSST or some crap and I'm not into tributes so don't go there either...

I might suggest removing the chrome GT badge, replacing it with something else (like one of those god awful expensive "Powered by Ford" badges) and having the lower stripe just be GT-281, or GT/SC (see what I did there?) or something simple.
Since we're on the topic of your stripes... I'd also go with a different font, were it me. The leaning font doesn't really work for me. Or, of course, leave the GT badge on, and just have a solid stripe. *shrug*

OK. Took the GT-281ci off. made some up with just GT 4.6 and installed them.
Stood back, got the wifes opinion (she liked them), waited 30 mins, changed my mind and tore the whole lot off again, the entire side. [&:] Now she's naked on One side and she's got the GT 4.6 on the other.
Thing is, it might just be the Silver coloring of the car, but without rocker stripes I think the car looks too short& dumpy. IMO it needs something to break the car up along the profile, but the paradox is, i just don't like stripes...
Perhaps i should go from Gray to clear, like in my signature. DARN it, I don't know !!

I agree with the leaning font, that's a distant memory now, it didn't work, you're totally right.

I tried with alternate emblems. I had the Pony and also the 4.6/supercharged thing. They were ok but not my thing. Weird I am, I like the Gt emblem. Might go Matt Black with it one day though.

I liked the font you had when it said GT-281SC. Looked sort of like modern Shelby to me.
If you're going to keep the GT emblem, then having GT in the rocker stripe seems redundant, imo. I'd go with something like 281/SC or 4.6-Supercharged (just to identify displacement/supercharger in some way) instead.
