Default GOAL- Less than 1" Drop

Whats up everyone..... heres the deal:

I bought Steeda SportSprings, and have had them on the car for about 3 months now. The car looks great, however the car is just too low. Now that I have the chin spoiler on, it almost makes the car undriveable bc i scrape on EVERTHING.I am considering putting the stock springs back in, but dislike the stock ride height. Iwould like to findsprings that lower the car less than 1" all around. I am also thinking of buying just the Roush rears (can someone tell me where to get just the rears) and keeping the stock springs up front.

Yes, I know the Steeda Sport Springs are supposed to be about 1" to 1.25" drop, but as you can see, my caris DEFINATELY lower than that. NYC roads + my drop doesnt make the car fun to drive =[ too bad it looks so good lowered. See pics:

Put some spacers in between the top of the springs/shocks in the front. You could get another 1/2 or so depending on the amount of stud you have left for the shock tower bolts.

I think I dropped exactly 1 inch in the front with the Eibach PRO-Kit. That would be what Iw ould change to.

OR

Get a coil over kit for the front and adjust it until you find a happy medium. I know Eibach sells one.

(BTW. . .looks like you have alot of negative camber in the front. Maybe it's just the pic though. DId you have an alignment done?)

I havnt had an alignment done yet... I had some issues with the panhard bar (first one was defective) and was too busy to install the new one until yesterday. I am going to get the car aligned my next free day, but I want to get myself settled on the suspension first.

Where can I get this spacer that you speak of?

Thanks Blacks197, I am going to look further into those. Is anyone running these H&R springs? Pics available?

Howarmart- its DEFINATELY lower than the advertized 1"; also not everyone lives in NYC, so the combination of both makes it awful. before the chin spoiler, it was manageable, now its not. I scrape it on something whenever I need to go into a parking lot, and thats with me going sideways.

No doubt you scrape with that wicked chin spoiler on there.

There are no commercially available spacers for the upper strut mounts.
Thats the backwoods way of doing things.

The rear Roush springs are available by themselves for $125 from www.MossMustang.com.
They sell the individual components and a full blown kit as well.
You will like the Roush springs but I would recommend getting the rear Roush shocks as well.
They are valved to match the Roush springs and the OEM stockers are not.

I have them on just the rear to help take the stock rake out.
