Default 2006 Mustang in Snowy Conditions?

Hey everyone?

I'm in the process of buying a 2006 v6 mustang coupe (manual), however my only concern is how it will handle in pennsylvania where I just re-located when it has some hard snowy conditions at times.

I also thought about winter tires and some extra weight in the trunk. Any suggestions or is it simply a bad decisions?

Peace!

I drive my GT through Michigan winters. I don't have a problem until the snow is over about 3" deep.

I drive in the Colorado mountains daily with our GT. Weight and winter tires will help.

If you MUST drive it in the winter, yes, winter tires, extra weight and a light foot (although the V6 may not be as bad with the lower torque).

It only snowed lightly a couple of times here last winter, but with the traction control on and the stock Pirelli's mounted, I thought it performed very well on my 50 mile commute.

I drive my car all year round in central PA. It's only a few days where I have to take my roommates FWD car!!

Just keep a light foot, and you should be alright.

Light foot and good snow tires are your best bet.

^Ditto. Tires are key. I have to drive now 'n then in the snow. I have the KDW-2's, Ultra high performance summer only.
Forget about it...they lose traction when it's under 40 degrees, let alone a trace of snow. My next set will be these
BFGoodrich g-Force Super Sport A/S.
