No. i won't let them charge me $350 or whatever for a bit of plastic. I'll find something sometime for less. A take off or something.

When I test drove my car Wednesday it had a flat, scoopless hood...

When I picked it up, I was signing paperwork and finishing up when the sales manager was like "By the way, did you see we gave you a new hood?" Huh? He says yup, we gave you a shaker setup. I got excited, cause the guy knows Mustangs and I thought he meant a REAL shaker setup. But nope, it's just the regular fake scoop. Apparently some old couple had just bought an 08 GT of the same color, and the little old lady couldn't see over the scoop so they just switched hoods.

I had got used to the idea of not having the scoop, but I like it. Is this the Roush style scoop? It is kind of narrow and long?

I personally really like mine... even though its fake... how much HP are you gaining anyways from a shaker hood.... umm nothing really... I can find other things to spend 800 bucks on... imo
Yep the shaker doesn't really add any horsepower, however what the shaker does is keep fresh cooler air going into the intake which in itself allows the motor to operate more efficiently.
The stock hood and intake setup actualy robs power. This is why you always see a car dynoed with the hood open and air being blown into it.

It's BIG, which is why I didn't like it at first. It's actually wide and long.
