HP and gas mileage don't belong in the same sentence...

I seen my mpg go up after getting the short throw shifter put in.. It takes out alot to the "dead zone" time in between the gears.. That is an option.. IMO though, it would help..

Sorry, but I find that hard to believe. That "dead zone" you speak of is approximately 1/2 second of unloaded engine time per shift. Besides, that "dead zone" time is also "coasting" time. Cut me a break...

Hey everyone thanks for all the imput, and sorry it took me so long to get back. I opted to go with Flowmaster super 44 exhaust kit. Put it on myself, and with the sale price i got it at $225 ... and I did increase mileage by 1-2mpg and possibly a little HP but that part might be in my head too =P anywayz, judging by comments I think i may look into gears more that sounds like a good route....but dont worry once i get it looking good again i will be saving for some non-gas mileage saving options...cauz who wants to look great and not be able to back it up....

It's supposed to be a High Performance car, so who cares about gas mileage.

Exactly!!! Get a hybrid or all-electric if mpg is a concern.

How anyone is able to get such specific mpg measurements in real world driving without high tech testing equipment is impossible. I hope you guys aren't basing your numbers on the car's info-center.

OP would like to increase HP and Gas mileage. He didn't ask which mods don't increase mileage.
Seriously, send some my way too!
