Hello All,

I purchased a 2005 Mustang for my son about a month ago. While I was showing him how to work the AC controls, the one that blows air out of the front vents stop working. When I have the dial set to this the air will blow out of the bottom and the defrost at the front window. Also, when I set the dial of the feet location the air blows on top.

Is there a fuse that control this or vacuum lines?

As for it blowing out the top and bottom, Ford said it always does that even when not selected. I took my car in and the service manager took me to 5 cars in the lots and they all did the same thing.

But as for not blowing at all, yeah, ask Ford...

there was a recent posting about a similar issue.
I think the wires might have been mixed up during someone's install of a stereo.

I had the exact same problem with less than 800 miles on my 08 GT. It turned out that the flap inside that deviates air to the top had broken. They had to dissassemble my whole dash to get to it. Then they scratched parts of the dash so I made them replace them with new ones. Good luck in getting this fixed.
