ORIGINAL: antipeterleague

what are pros vs. cons?
not quite sure which DS i will go with, but for me the pros are lighter wt and holds more hp/tq. i am planning on doing this w/ clutch and aluminum flywheel if money permits. hoping it well get me quicker accelleration and hold more power. the cons are its gonna cost some $$$.

only con is the expense...i agree........unless you put it on wrong or something

if you dont torque the bolts down enough and loctite them, theoretically, they can walk out on you due to vibration and cause the driveshaft to fall off

some cause major vibration but that usually only requires them to be taken off and rotated 180 degrees and reinstalled, then usually no problems

like i said, install it right and there really are no cons to an upgraded driveshaft. i mean, a spydershaft with upgraded u-joints can support 900+ HP to the wheels

I got the spydershaft, and feel that it was definately a worthwhile mod.

Definately a worthwhile mod. You can feel the difference. My car is very lo and I have a 4" driveshaft without any problems. My 4" driveshaft weighs 17#.
