Default Anyone have Steeda Pulleys?

I installed the UD pulleys and I have a little squeaking only at start up, anyone else have this and does it go away?

Thanks Evil I may take the crank pulley off and put it back on making sure I use the proper torque sequence that is stated in the instructions.

How about a little belt dressing instead? Not sure how the torque sequence of the crank pulley is going to cause you to have a belt squeak.

In your other thread about the misfire problem you were having you said that you wished you didn't order the pulleys and that they were not worth the time and money. If you are going to pull the crank pulley back off to retorque, why not just remove them all together since you are already there?

You might check to see if you need a bit shorter belt. Maybe the tensioner is all the way out. I put u/ds on my Chevy truck, and it took a smaller belt. And at that, the one they suggested was too long. Got belt squeal at just a few thousand miles. I had to go to Napa and get one just a touch smaller yet. Been fine fer almost 30,000 now.

I don't know about these pulleys, I here a knocking noise at idle also, sounds like something is not right... I may put my old pulleys on, something just isn't right, first I am going to try and locate the knocking noise, which is sort of a ticking noise, then I am going to take the crank pulley off and put it back on paying very close attantion to the toque specs in the directions, if I still hear the tick-knock noise I am taking both pulleys off and putting the old pulleys on, if the noise goes away I will return the pulleys for a new set.

There are several threads on the "ticking noise". Casper had a F150 in his shop that had it and said that he ordered new cam timing solenoids for it. Never saw if it fixed it or not. But it is the same ticking noise that quite a few Mustangs have had also. That might be the noise you are hearing.
