my TPS idle volts are 1.61....
thats way to high and only should be .99 at the most....is there a specific cause for it being high rather than being too low.....how much should a new TPS set me back if i install it myself....

You cant adjust it for .99 volts output?
I thought you could loosen it up and adjust it? Dealership for the TPS sensor. |
RE: my TPS idle volts are 1.61....
well the voltage is where the throtle plate is, so is the car running this could be where idle is, TPS is a 5 volt reference and swings in-between that to let the computer know where it is. so this could be normal or we need more info. many cars run around here on idle that i have seen and wot is around 3.85 vollts. but changing is easy.

you cannot adjust the voltage on these bad boys so you have to replace them..they either work or dont work
