Default handbrake not very good on stangs?

ok so my mustang's handbrake is first off kinda hard to pull up, especially compared to my grand cherokee which i almost rip out once i get used the mustang pull...and i sat in numerous 08's and they are the same way, then i sat in an 09 and it was a LOT easier to pull up and fell like it should be, i can also not lock up my brakes using my e-brake unless its wet and i pull super hard, is this the way it should be or what? thank you

Disc brakes are harder to lockup then drums. Turn traction control off and rev it high then pop the clutch and give it a good amount of gas. Works for me

Sorry I was also reading your other post. HAHA
Why do you want to lock up the rear breaks then?

A tight e-brake is good because that means you have plenty of pads left. if its really easy and you can pull it all the way up, it usually means either your cable needs adjusting or you are almost out of rear pads. You should appreciate your mustang's e-brake.

That would do it in the Jeep. I can always scare people by pulling it up making them think it will get out of control but it won't. Not enough to stop completely being that the pads are so small./

when making a U-turn in the middle of a block it would be nice to be able to e-brake and get the rear end sliding around.
Can't do one with the Mustang... is it because of my auto tranny?
