Prolly somthing you could do with a buddy, some hand tools and a good manual to follow. If you don't have a good mechanics manuel you should invest in one

IIRC you need a special vacume pump to bleed the the clutch system on our cars

I think it is the same thing as most speed bleeders

ANyone have any experience with aftermarket clutches? would i also be required to get a new flywheel? and will it make it easier to drive every day, i just want it to be smoother and lighter and feel much better for daily driving.
Thanks

You would need to at least get your flywheel re-surfaced if you replace the clutch. Most aftermarket clutches are going to feel either the same as stock or harder. There are only two posibilities here, either your car has an issue with its clutch system and needs to be worked out, or you have one of the weakest clutch legs I have ever seen. the stock clutch on our cars is alot lighter than previous years Mustangs as they were mechanical cable set ups and ours is hydralic.

Check your fluid level, make sure there are no leaks or kinks in the lines and bleed the system and replace fluid with fresh stuff. Then report back. If it is still too rough we will go from there. ( you may need to go to the gym )

Keep in mind that when you go to a lightweight flywheel your clutch will have a more on-off type of feel and it will be more difficult to feather it. Since you're decreasing the rotating mass, it will be easier to stop. If you have already put in a lightweight drive shaft, this will be even more pronounced.

One of the problems I have (with all the mods I did) is that the clutch travel distance is huge compared to its effective range. At 1/3 down its like an on-off switch. Combined with the throttle sensitivity of my high performance tune, its not ideal for daily driving. Its good for high performance driving but, the rest of the time its getting old. Everybdy thinks I'm trying to show off bacause befor I get going under normal conditions (traffic, parking, slow driving, etc.) it sound like I'm trying to rev it since the RPM's are fluctating so much to engage first and/or reverse.

I don't know how to fix this beside adding more weight to the driveline which is counter productive to RWHP.

Same here my co-worker just got a brand new 2008 gt and his clutch is way lighter thank mine. I'm at 45k, i'm not saying mine is super hard but after driving his car mine feels noticably harder. even he agree's. Now, my last car was a 99 gt and that clutch was harder than my 05's clutch is now.
My question is are the clutches just light when they are brand new? Because I get into gear with no problem and i have never had it slip once, plus it passes the 4th gear test just fine.

I'd rule out any issues with the slave cylinder/ hydraulics first.

I think that the issue at hand is alot of girlie legs! LOL If you think the clutch is heavy or tough then try an old 5.0, they are way stiffer than ours. Wait until you need to get a good comp clutch! Theen you will really think it is heavy. I guess all those light a$$ Honda clutches have spoiled far too many of you guys!
