I was thinking of getting a kit for this and was wondering if anyone here has done so. the GT500 has a 62mm intake and wanted to know if anyone has got any improvement from stock

Not worth it unless you're running FI, and even then the gains aren't huge.

I put one in a long time ago. I ran in it the stock setup for a couple weeks and didnt notice anything real measurable, maybe slightly quicker throttle repsonse. Same with CAI/tune added. Now I have most all bolt ons possible so i think i get some better overall gains with it but cant say for sure. I will say that i have never had any problems with it at all and it was only $220 for the kit, not $400. If you actually expect big gains then dont do it, but if you got extra dough and have done CMCV, LTs and are thinking about cams and heads....i would say it wont hurt you any and might give you some extra HP in the end
