MY Retro-solutions HID gasket fix
as you all know there is a gasket fitment issue with the retro-solutions hid's. the lamps just dont snug-up and seal well. i have seen a few solutions to this and here is mine:
take out and very carefully cut your OEM headlight gasket in half. then use one half for each new bulb. this will space out the gasket more, creating a much better seal. sorry no camera available for a "taco bill" style write-up!! hope this helps someone else.

I have a much better solution. See attached pics.
It is a 39 cent o-ring...get it at any hardware store. Size is 1.5od/1.25id x1/8" o-ring. Put it on first, then the standard sealer washer. Nice tight seal all around.

RE: MY Retro-solutions HID gasket fix
I saw a post where some guy recommended just taking the gasket that was on the bulb you are replacing and place it on the Retro-Solutions HID bulb along with the gasket that came on it. Yes, that's two gaskets. I did it, it was a bit hard to install that way but it went OK. Been in almost a year with zero problem, zero condensation either.
In answer to the question as to whether I like my kit (35W, 6000K BiXenon) - I freakin' love it!!
Highly recommend.

Thanks for this thread! I am also thinking of retrofitting HIDs on my Mustang. Now you gave me an idea.

100% agree with Goldenpony...LOVE these lights. I would highly recommend the 5000 in 35W. My wife has a Lexus 330 and these are spot on identical in power and brightness...they look OEM for sure.
I went with Retro and they are a great company...good support and fair pricing.
