Default Aftermarket door subs! (Show off your setup)

I'm looking to upgrade the door subs, I'm doing it mainly to improve the looks of the interior and I don't want anything too busy, just a nice clean setup. If you have pics of your own setup post them. Also if they sound like crap then let me know, because I'm don't want to downgrade and my decision is partialy based on sound quality. The stock subs look like 6 1/2 to me so i'll peruse those at the moment..

are those kickers running off of the factory amps or did you wire them to an aftermarket? i am actually looking at some shallow mounted subs for the doors and removing all the stuff from my trunk to make room the Zex kit

if they are running off the factorys, what is the RMS peak on the kickers and what kind of wattage are we getting from each factory amp???

rms on these is 8-125, I am running them with the factory amp for now, I dont know what the factory amp is rated...I have two 12s in the trunk so I am not to worried about the sound from them, I mostly did them for the looks!

I would set a highpass crossover on those to 80hz if you have 2 12's. You will be suprised on how much louder they will be able to play.

I thought the factory amp had a high pass crossover on them already... I am going to put an aftermarket amp on them soon anyway!

06elnr the subs look great! I was actually thinking about doing the same thing... you said that you used Kicker 8s, which ones were they? CompVT's?
