RE: Mud flaps for 2008 GT/CS
What the heck's wrong with you people? Just because you don't want something doesn't mean somebody else would. I saw some mud flaps on a Stang at a Mustang meet in my area a couple of months ago. It looked great. Replies like get a Kenworth or a John Deere show your first grade mentality. If you don't have decent input, STFU.

Maybe we need to charge for non-helpful input???
When a pinhead says that splash guards belong on a truck I just point out the GT500 to them and they will usually STFU!
I put the GT500 Splash Guards on my GT after getting tired of the Val look of the wide, molded ones I first put on. Certain colors of Mustangs will show dirt easier than others and my yellow would get real dusty behind the rear wheels. That area is a magnet for dust. Just check your next time you wash your car and then drive for just 1/2 an hour. I imagine for wide rear tires it is even more so.
If I drove through any water it would turn the dust into ugly black spots. The wide splash guards that are widely available in the aftermarket do a great job of keeping that area clean. Here's mine from 3 years ago:
If you care about the finish of your car and drive on gravel or just hate having to detail that area every single day these are a good choice.
I got tired of the look and when the GT500 ones became available put a pair of those on without modifying them. They don't stick out too badly. More than on the GT500 or GT/CS but since it seems to still work pretty well I haven't trimmed them, which would make them stick out less.

Thanks. Do they actually stop mud from getting on the back lower panel? They look awful small.
