I just installed my smoked assemblies today. The tab that fits into the slot is difficult to get just right if you don't angle the opposite side of the assembly as far back towards the tire as possible while slipping the tab into it. Otherwise, the tab will not be in the slot properly. And I believe you need to unscrew part of the wheel well liner so you can pull it back towards the tire in order to get the proper clearzance for the angle that allows the tab to slip in easily. I did it that way on both my GT and the g/f's Pony.
