ORIGINAL: Hootna

Looks better but am not feeling that chrome / unpainted part of the grill area. Would look sweet all blacked out or just take it out as I see it is on the original as well if it can be done.
I think it looks good too but..you know...that's the 1st thing that stood out to me too...the chrome outline. I think I'd test out the look with
black tape or photoshop it..stand back and check it out. Black would match the bottom grill outline.

While we were in the process of the grille change, I did get one fairly poor picture without the trim ring. The nice thing is, the trim ring is on with 3M only, so it can be added or removed at will...well...kinda.... Granted, this is without the lower grille done, nor had I blacked out the stuff behind the grille, but you get the idea. To me, the trim ring is trademark bullitt. Trying to be different, but stay within the intent.....

ok it really shocks me how much better it looks with your mods. why wasn't it like that from the factory? the difference is stunning and i couldn't imagine it any other way.
Exactly that is fu8king awesome.

Thanks guys, appreciate it....

Daniel,
Knowing that you are a huge fan of the Bullitt, and the purity thereof, I appreciate the feedback...THANKS!!

CK,
Assume you mean the lower insert? Yes, the new lower grille is an overlay, and yes it's true billet. Did some of my own Mike-Gyver mods to the stock insert, i.e. covered the honeycomb left and right, sprayed flat black, as well as the background area too. I ended up getting it at autoanything.com. It's made by Carriage Works....

Thanks again,
Mike

I just want to thank everyone for their feedback. We really appreciate it. It's nice to knowwhat others think... good, bad or indifferent. That doesn't mean I would everchange anything- it's just nice to know. As Mike stated in an earlier post we are trying tokeep with in the Bullit trademark and not do major changes, just ones to add to it's beauty. I have gotten a lot ideas from reading here and I look forward to sharing the subtle changes I plan to do as we go on.

Daniel... Go right ahead and do it... If so I want to see pics!

the new grille looks great, really cleaned the car up nicely. Subtle = sexy.
