Maybe mount them on a 2x10 that sticks out a few inches and you can wedge under the front wheels.

Find a place that uses rubber belting( like conveyor belting) they always have extra that they can sell to you cheap and put under so they won't slide. you could even attach the ramps to it.

you can also buy some 2x8 wood and cut 2 lengths of it to lay down behind the ramps up against the back wall of the garage ...

Try putting pieces of rubber area rug mats under them. You can find them in various sizes at your favorite home improvement big box store. I put some under a pair of wooden ramps I built. They never slide.

Get a floor jack, lift car up, insert ramps.

Try this, get some 1/2" heater hose bout a foot long, split it long ways on one side and insert it on the bottom of the tall end of the ramp, this will fix your problem

Where can you get some nicer ramps than the rhinos? How about ones that are a foot or so longer?

IMO, the Rhino Ramps are an excellent choice. I've had a number of different brands of ramps and these are light enough to haul and move easily, long and low enough not to hit (at least MY) air dam, priced right at under $50 (when I bought them last year) and virtually indestructible.

But getting back to the OP, your problem is stemming from the finished garage floor and lack of friction. My previous recommendation of the non-slip tape works well since you can drive and walk on it w/o it being a tripping hazard in lieu of hauling heavy things to place in front of the ramps or holes to drill or yada-yada. Let us know what works for you.

I was thinking about something a little longer for safety purposes. A little harder to do something r-tarded and drive off of them that way.

LMFAO!!! I hear ya'... Having a manual also, I know that it can be a bit tricky. But the more I use them, the easier it gets. Of course, I'll probably get over-confident and launch right over them some day...
