You only need to pull up about 3 clicks for it to be snug. Consistently pull it further and it will end up getting loose and out of adjustment. My Honda's brake is pretty bad right now as a matter of fact. All it takes is having someone pull it real hard a few times for this to happen.

Thank you! The guy who had my stang before me must have pulled too hard on it too many times, because my car could drive with no problem with the brake on. Now its perfect!

Yeah, what gives with people over pulling the e-brake?!

I've let only a couple of people drive my car (mostly before the S/C) and each of them pulled up so damn hard on the e-brake that they looked like olympic champions doing the dead lift! It's a little looser than when it was new, not a big deal but at least I know I can easily tighten it.

The reason people throw the e-brake so damn fast because its so flarking stiff! When I first got my car I thought it was broken because it was so stiff..
