Thanks for all the input. The issue about the hitting the hood was, the hood was raised a bit on the intake side, not enough to see it, but you could feel it raised compared to the other side. I made some adjustments, seems to fit better. The water issue, laying on the heat shield, I still felt it came through the hood area. If I get stuck in a rain storm, not sure if any water would get in to the filter or not. On my JLT, I never had any issues with water on the heat shield. I'll see what happens on the next wash. PM sent Joe about the JLT, give me a call later tonight when Im at work
