I guess I'm in the vast minority - I like my spoiler.
I wouldn't say that...I think most S197's look better with a spoiler. It would take a good suspension setup with a decent rake, fat rear tires and the right color car to pull it off IMO. I don't think I could do it with Torch Red.

You can get a GT500 rear spoiler, painted, and shipped off Ebay for $125 - go for it. No spoiler is nice, but 2nd best is GT500 style.

I'm amazed how cheap those spoilers are...I'm still used to the new edge Terminator spoilers that everyone tries to get their hands on that are $400 or so USED.

I know it HAD to have been explained...but heres a S197 noob question. If I were to switch from the stock spoiler to the GT500 spoiler...what would be the deck lid hole situation? Would the GT500 use ANY existing holes, would any holes be left uncovered, and would I HAVE to drill new holes?

Depends if u buy it from the ebay spoiler store which only uses two of the four existing holes!!
But if u buy the real shelby one which is way more expensive it uses all four holes!!
Ebay = 125.00 painted and shipped
Shelby= 260.00 + shipping and UNPAINTED
Make your choice

to the OP. the GT appearence package has no bearing to the spoiler.. All GT's come standard with the same spoiler. I love th elook of the spoiler delete..
