Looking to get a used GT. Anything I should know about with 2005's? Any specific problems? Would a 2006 be a better option?

I like my 2005. I have had only one issue with mine and that was the gas tank fill problem which required Ford to replace it. Other than that, I have never had any problems with it.

The TSB section should identify anything of any importance. The one TSB that comes to mind is the water leak issue that a lot of people had. The gas tank fill issue iis something that a LOT of people here find to be a nuisance but most deal with it. Some ahd the dealer do the "fix" with mixed results. No biggie, IMO.

There are other TSB's out there but not all of the model years experience the specific problem. All-in-all, if you're buying from a reputable source and if you can get the maintenance records, go for it. Great car and soooo much fun to mod.

Get an 06, it's newer[8D]

Only problem I had was the TB just got replaced. However, people with all years seem to have been affected. Good thing about an 06+ is higher chances of a factory warranty still in tact. 05 = No warranty...at least not factory...

Most people say you should wait a year or two when a new model comes out, til they work the bugs out...........Not the case with the 2005+ Mustang, Ford hit aHome Runwith this one....BUY IT!!!!!

Just find the best price, best condition and with the options and color you prefer. Don't worry about it being an 05, 06, 07 or whatever.
